In this article, David Wees gave a survey out to a small group of teachers (11). the 2 questions on his survey were; How many sheets of paper do you use everyday for your class? and How many teachers are at your school?. Combined, the teachers used almost 400 sheets of paper per day. about 30 pages each. He goes on to talk about how with the money we are wasting on paper, around 2 billion dollars per year, we can buy laptops for the entire student body for 4 years. The purpose of this text is survey just showing the immense amount of paper we survey and what we should do instead of spending our money on paper, we should spend it on something better for the school and the environment

In this article, Geraldine talks about the reasons why people do not recycle and why we have so much waste in general. The reason why we have so much garbage every where, and why schools do not recycle is boiled down to one thing; cost. It cost almost double to recycle then it does to just toss it into a landfill. They are trying to come up with new regulations and ways to lower the price to recycle, but it is hard. This helped in my issues page because to me recycling seemed easy until I saw the expenses of it.

In this page, There is a timeline of ways through history people have reused paper in order to save the environment , even when it was not necessary. The timeline dates back to 500 BC and is all the way to present day 2017. The Busch system takes paper waste very serious and have been involved with many projects to do with waste on websites, as well as in real life. This was a important thing to put in the website because knowing that people have been trying to save our planet for so long helps us for the future and puts us ahead in helping.
